Stylish Starlets: January 2011

Another Sunday, another award show. I was really looking forward to watching the red carpet coverage on E! but I ended up missing most of it and just caught the show later on. After watching the Golden Globes, and Ricky Gervais's unofficial roast, the SAG awards tonight seemed a little dull. But they did not disappoint on the fashion! One trend I quickly noticed was that alot of the ladies were either in white or soft nude/pastel colors. Have a look at some of the most prettiest dresses of the night. And I have to say that Amy Adams looked amazing--she has gotten so pretty and confident with her style lately.

I didn't think anyone would copy this look so soon, but here we are, Nicky Hilton and Kourtney Kardashian in the same Ani Lee dress. Kourtney wore her's first, styled it with a bib necklace by Camille K and kept the rest of the look simple with no extra accessories and basic black pumps. While just a week later Nicky showed up to a jewelry launch in the exact same dress, but with a pop of color--with her off white pumps. What do you think, who wore it better? I think they both look nice--Nicky makes it look pretty & simple, and Kourtney makes it look chic & classy--but I really can't decide.

Literally fresh off the runway, Diane Krüger wore this dress from the Chanel Spring 2011 Haute Couture collection, just days after it debuted in Fashion Week. She must be very high on the A-list and very stylish in order to get this dress so soon. Lucky girl!

Paris Hilton for Vogue Turkey. It's not everyday that we see Paris Hilton on the cover of Vogue but I love this photo of her--I'm a big fan of Terry Richardson's photography.

Adriana Lima for Vogue Brazil. I don't know why so many people are trashing this cover, but as soon as I saw it I thought she looked absolutely stunning! What's there to complain about when she looks this beautiful?--shot by Fabio Bartelt

For those of you who don't know Susan Cerneck she is the Senior Fashion Editor for Glamour magazine’s Web site. Not only is she a career gal but she is also one of the most stylish New Yorkers. Her street style is so inspirational and I would describe it as classic and effortlessly chic. I love how she takes on menswear and makes it look totally fem and pretty. Right now Polyvore is running a contest with her and of course I had to enter! Just about all of my sets were inspired by her and one even ended up on the front page. If your on Polyvore you know how exciting this can be lol! Anyway, check out a few of my sets that I created for the contest, completely inspired by looks worn by Cerneck.

Jessica Alba's style has really been on point this month! I can't stop blogging about her. Here she is again, this time in Paris, France with not one but two different looks of the day. The first look is of her at the Gucci/Vogue Paris Dinner hosted by Carine Roitfeld at the Hotel de la Rochefoucauld Doudeauville. She is in the most beautiful embellished one shoulder, cape gown by Gucci; And the second look is of her from earlier in the day, shopping around Paris just looking effortlessly cute!

Khloe Kardashian or Jessica Alba, who looks better? Khloe wore her Alexander McQueen gown recently to the People's Choice Awards and I thought she looked great, especially with the vibrant red hair. But Jessica wore her's first 3 years ago! I can't make up my mind, so what do you think?

Hayden Panetierre or Taraji P. Henson? Same Elizabeth & James dress but two different completely stylings. While I love leather jackets and booties, Hayden just looks all bad. Hands down Taraji got it right with the gold YSL heels and less-is-more styling!

Kim Kardashian or Kate Beckinsale? I love this dress and I love both these ladies--but with the two different body types, I didn't even realize it was the same dress at first! Kate wore the Nina Ricci gown first and Kim wore it recently to a Golden Globes after party. Who do you think looks better because it's a tie for me!

Ashanti or Katy Perry? Here is another close call. Both ladies looked pretty good in this Issa one-shoulder dress but my vote goes to Katy, by an inch! I just like how the bodice part fits her and her shape works better with the dress in my opinion.

Guess what...this is my 1000th post!!! Since I love my blog this was kind of a big deal to me and I thought I would let you guys know. Because this is a big post for me I wanted to post something amazingly beautiful and high fashion. With that said, here is the Christian Dior runway show from the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 at Musée Rodin. I really can't get over how stunning these gowns are, John Galliano really knows how to put on a damn show! Hope you like.
