Stylish Starlets: 2014

Like it or not this year is finally coming to an end and I would like to recap some of the best trends and fashion moments of 2014.

Popular Designer of the year: Everyone seemed to join the Balmain army this year and became (bff's with the designer). Starting with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the MET Ball in February, and continuing on to Kendall Jenner at Fashion Week

Best Fashion New Comer: I remember him from Project Runway and now Michael Costello has really made a name for himself. And you know you made it big when you design a custom Grammy gown for Beyonce!

Hot Fashion Trend/Staple: A couple of years later and the crop top is still going strong in the fashion world. Even Kerry Washington wore one on the red carpet while pregnant!

Chicest Fashion Trend: Ladies wearing suits will always be sexy and chic capes were everywhere in every color and style this year

Red Carpet Queens: These are the women who always looked good on the red carpet and were consistent with their amazing looks

Hottest Hair Styles: Side-parts with retro waves and curls appeared on almost every red carpet this year. And rightfully so, because retro glam always looks amazing! Besides that, so many women were rocking the bob haircut--whether it was faux or not--short hair was very popular in 2014.

So I don't really know what to call this fashion trend exactly but I'm sure most of you have noticed a lot of celebs wearing these sheer lace or brocade white dresses. First Beyonce showed up to the Grammys earlier this year in a Michael Costello design. And last month Candice Swanepoel wore a similar look by Zuhair Murad to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. I absolutely love the look but I couldn't help but think that I have seen it before and then it hit me, Jennifer Lopez (also in Zuhair)! At this point sheer nude sexy gowns have become a staple for Jennifer Lopez on the red carpet and while I liked the similar look on the other ladies, no one does it quite like J-Lo. Unfortunately, singer Charlie XCX tried to pull off the look too but failed miserably in comparison.

The year is pretty much over and I want to focus on one guy in particular this Monday, Eddie Redmayne, the best dressed man of 2014! After looking at this post, you won't be able to argue with me either. Whether he's dressing up or down, he always looks good.
