Today I attended the "All Black Lives Matter" march in Hollywood, so naturally it inspired me to write this post. If you don't know her, Janet Mock is a New York Times bestselling author of two memoirs, who got her start at People.com, and she happens to be transgender. She's now a writer, director and producer on Ryan Murphy’s FX series Pose, for which she made history as the first trans woman of color to write and direct an episode of television. And most recently, she became the first trans person to establish an overall deal with Netflix.
